Over the past few years we’ve had the pleasure of delivering hundreds of garden sheds, portable garage sheds, gazebos, and cabin bunkies throughout Ottawa and the Valley, Kingston, Cobourg, Belleville, and the Peterborough area. On occasion you may have seen our sheds on route as far as Timmins, Ontario. If you’re interested in whether we can deliver a building to your location, contact us anytime.
Do our storage sheds and cabins need a cement pad foundation?
Do storage sheds and prefab cabins need a cement pad foundation?
Most of our structure are portable units able to be placed on any level surface. We recommend adding 4-6 inches of gravel base under the building to prolong the life of the structure. Our popular Premium-Series Garage are great storage buildings for ATVs, Motorcycles, Lawn Tractors as well as winter vehicle storage. However, if you are planning on using one of our portable garage sheds for everyday use with a vehicle, a cement pad is recommended. Local authorities require any permanent garage structure be equipped with a non combustible floor. Visit our garden shed site preparation page for more information on how to prepare your site.

How large of a building can we deliver (fully-assembled)?
How large of a building can we deliver fully-built?
We can deliver fully-assembled prefab cabins, garden sheds, portable garages, and gazebos up to 14 feet wide by 44 feet long.
Almost all deliveries are made possible with our truck and hydraulic trailer, however some may require a special device we call the mule. The Mule is required if our truck and trailer cannot enter a location due to a septic bed, trees, fences, or simply not enough access room for a truck and trailer. If you are concerned about which method is needed for your delivery, contact us, we’d be happy to walk you through the options and help decide which delivery-method is necessary for your building.
Please note, all 14′ wide buildings are subject to additional delivery cost due to vehicle escort services and road permits.

Do portable sheds require a permit?
Does a portable building require a permit?
Most often municipalities located throughout Ontario and Quebec require a building permit for any garden shed, garage, cabin, bunkie shed, or gazebo over 160 sq.ft. For this reason we have obtained engineered drawings which state our structures are built to exceed all Ontario Building Code requirements. These are available if needed to help in the permit application process. For more information please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Can the building be relocated at a later date?
Can my building be relocated at a later date?
Yes, most of our structures are portable and can be relocated at a later date. Whether you are moving or simply would like to relocate your structure from its current position we are able to do so.  However, in order to properly relocate the structure it must be in the same condition as when it was delivered. Meaning, the structure has not been modified from it original condition. If your building was built on location due to delivery access reasons, relocating the structure is not possible.
How do I know a truck and trailer will be able to deliver a shed, cabin or portable garage in my yard?
How do I know your truck and trailer will be able to deliver in my yard?
This is a good question. Their are a few things you will have to keep in mind when requesting a fully assembled delivery. Firstly, your driveway must be a stone base or free of mud at time of delivery…An area of approximately 2 feet wider then the width of the structure and 14 -15 feet high is require. All turns must be cleared to provide sufficient room for maneuver of the truck and trailer. The site must be clear of all trees, tree limbs, etc. within the access area. Adequate room in front of the structure for the truck and trailer to pull straight out after delivery is required. This distance varies with the length of the building purchased. Approximately 85 feet to 150 feet is recommended for large storage sheds. For more info visit our garden shed delivery page.
How much does it cost to build a shed in my backyard? (Not Delivered)
How much does it cost to build a shed on location?
If we are unable to deliver a building to the desired location on your property an onsite build is required. An additional 25% of the overall price of the structure (as posted online) is required for this service. This charge is due to us having our building team and supplies transported to your location. Depending on the size of building, the construction process can take from 1 to 7 days to complete.
Please note: We’re able to build a garden shed or storage garage in our shop and deliver (fully-assembled) to your home at a more affordable price then having one built on-location. For this reason, and depending on your situation, temporarily removing a fence or shrub for delivery purposes will save you money.

How do I prepare a Shed Base?
How do I prepare a Shed Base or Foundation?

Preparing a shed base for delivery is easy. You can do it yourself or have us do it for you (depending on your location).

  1. Lay garden fabric down on the desired area to prevent grass and weeds (optional)
  2. Add 5/8″ crushed stone ( 1′ wider on all sides then the garden shed, cabins, or garage shed measurements) For example a 10′ X 10′ Shed would require a 12′ X 12′ gravel base.
  3. Stone base should be roughly 4-6″ in thickness/or height from ground level.
  4. Smooth stone to a level surface. A level base is crucial for shed doors and windows to operate properly.
